I’m Sheila White, a HCPC-registered Dramatherapist with over 20 years of experience working therapeutically with children, adolescents, and adults. My journey into therapy was shaped by a deep commitment to helping people navigate life’s challenges, whether that’s anxiety, trauma, grief, or personal growth.
I have worked across a wide range of settings, from forensic mental health and psychiatric intensive care units to schools and community spaces, supporting people with complex emotional and psychological needs. My approach is client-led, compassionate, and creative, allowing each person to explore their emotions in a way that feels safe and right for them.
I specialize in supporting individuals, particularly adolescences and adults that have been diagnosed with autism and Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), as well as helping parents navigate the unique challenges of raising a neurodivergent child. Having worked with organisations such as Just for Kids Law, The Children’s Society, and Khulisa, I bring a depth of understanding and experience when working with adolescents and young adults.
I also work with actors and performers, offering support with character-based work, helping them explore the psychological depth of their roles when working with scripts and text.
My work extends to families that have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth and neonatal loss. Having trained as a befriender through (SANDS) Stillbirth and Neonatal death society, I have and continue to support families who have lost their child through these circumstances.
Therapy is not about having all the answers—it’s about exploring what’s going on inside, at your own pace, in a safe and supportive space. Whether through talking therapy or creative techniques like dramatherapy, my goal is to help you reconnect with yourself, process emotions, and find a path forward.
